Time of day (pick up/drop off start 30-mins prior): 12pm-2:30pm (pickup by 2:45pm)
Lakers Youth Goalie Camp at the Pete Palangio Arena is a specialized training experience designed for young goaltenders looking to elevate their skills before the season begins. Held over 5 days across 2 weeks, this camp delivers focused, position specific development led by current Lakers Women's Hockey Goalies and coaching staff.
PLEASE NOTE: this camp takes place on the following dates from 12-2:30pm- Monday August 17, Wednesday August 19, Friday August 21, Monday August 24, Wednesday August 26
Each day goaltenders can expect 1.5 hours of on ice goalie instruction focused on technique, crease movement, positioning, rebound control, puck handling and save selection. Goaltenders should also expect 1 hour of goalie specific off ice training focusing on strength agility, reaction work, hand-eye development and movement patterns tailored to the demands of being a goalie.
As an added bonus all goalie participants receive entry to their corresponding week of youth girls camp, providing more ice time, confidence building opportunities and fun (U9, U11 - August 24-28 from 9am to 12pm).
This camp offers an encouraging, high performance environment where young goalies can sharpen their fundamentals, expand their skill set and train with the expertise of the Nipissing Lakers Women’s Hockey Program.
Camp is a perfect opportunity for goalies looking to grow, compete, and take the next step in their development.
PLEASE NOTE: the schedule for this camp is tentative and ice times/contract need to be finalized by the City of North Bay. Dates and times are subject to change.
